Certified Carpet Cleaners
The IICRC is an accredited Standards Developing Organization (SDO) by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). All Steam Action Carpet Cleaning's technicians are certified by the IICRC. Our staff attends continuing education classes yearly to keep up with any advances or changes in cleaning and maintenance.
We always have a two-person uniformed crew to move furniture safely and efficiently. Our technicians are trained to handle many floor cleaning challenges in homes and businesses, such as stubborn pet accidents, traffic areas, spots, and stains. We recommend regular maintenance to keep carpets looking clean and fresh.
Our cleaning system consists of Hot Water Extraction, referred to as Steam Carpet Carpet Cleaning. This cleaning process is the only method classified as deep cleaning. Your carpets are first pretreated to loosen soils, pollutants, and odors. Our powerful truck-mounted system connects to your freshwater outside spigot and flows through a water softener before heating up to as high as 220 degrees. The water is mixed with a rinse solution and injected under high pressure onto the pretreated carpet, flushing out our pretreatment, soils, pollutants, and odors. The powerful vacuum quickly extracts the dirty water and sends it back to a holding tank in our trucks. This proven method leaves your carpets fresh and clean with no soapy residue.
Our cleaning products are designed to leave nothing behind. Our products are recognized and have received a gold label from The Carpet And Rug Institute. You can count on Steam Action Carpet Cleaning to keep your floors clean and safe for family and pets.
As a bonus, we also include speed drying technology, where specially designed 360-degree fans dry carpets much faster. In some cases, carpets can be dry in as little as 1-2 hours.

When Can I Walk On Freshly Cleaned Carpets?
Carpets are left slightly damp, and you can immediately walk on them without street shoes. Because of our powerful truck-mounted vacuum, no water penetrates through the backing or the padding. Our carpet cleaning method has a much faster drying time than alternative methods, but in some cases, it could take up to 24 hours, depending on the outside humidity level and the amount of soil removed. We ask you to keep your traffic minimum until the carpets are completely dry.
How Often Should I Clean Carpets
Carpet manufacturers recommend a minimum of 11 and 14 months between cleanings. If carpets are exposed to pets or under heavy traffic, cleaning more often is recommended. Soils are very abrasive and can shorten the life or dull the appearance of your carpet. We tell our customers that every home or business is different. If your carpets are new or under warranty, the manufacturer will ask you for proof of cleaning by an IICRC-certified company. We keep records of all work done for every customer. What About The Furniture?
Our crew will move your furniture to clean behind it and then place it back in its original location. We then place plastic squares or foam blocks under the legs to protect the furniture from moisture and prevent any furniture staining. We suggest you leave these under-furniture legs in contact with the carpet for a minimum of 24 hours. They slide out easily just by pulling them out.
If we are moving furniture, we require removing all breakables and electronics from the room before your carpet cleaning appointment. We do not move heavy appliances, aquariums, pool tables, or wall units. If you have any concerns, the technician will consult with you directly.
An Essential Fact About Regular Carpet Cleaning
Most customers clean carpets when they physically see oils and dirt accumulating. Carpets collect pollen, pollutants, dust mites, and other harmful soils you cannot see with the naked eye. Carpets can collect these airborne pollutants and hold them from becoming airborne. When the carpet is full, it can no longer hold anymore and then will release the contaminants into the air. When the carpet is clean and all the soil is sucked outside to the truck, the fibers become hungry to collect airborne pollutants making the air you breathe cleaner. Many customers have told us that sinuses and allergies have improved after cleaning. It’s like changing the filter in your HVAC or vacuum cleaner. So when you think it’s been a while since you have had your carpets cleaned, we recommend you clean your carpets for their health of it.
